How Dismate PE works

The Dismate PE system is based on mating disruption or sexual confusion. Dismate PE dispensers release large quantities of pheromone into the air to confuse the male moths. This overwhelms the male moths' senses and prevents them from finding and mating with female moths.

This results in a sharp decline in the population as the male and female moths fail to mate. Due to the effect of Dismate PE, the life cycle of the moth is broken leading to a substantial reduction in larval emergence and infestation. Dismate PE pheromone dispensers have been designed to release a steady amount of sex pheromone for over 3 months.

How to start:

• Dismate is approved for use in a number of countries and applications for approval are underway in others. Therefore it is important that we know where the country for the proposed use is, to ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Dismate is available to Pest Control Companies with sufficient experience in working with stored product insects or Food Factories who have their own in-house pest control team.
• We will plan the number and layout of the pheromone dispensers as well as the monitoring traps, in cooperation with a pest control technician and hygiene manger. We will help in positioning the initial dispensers and to optimise the number of dispensers required.
• We will provide training to show how to fill in the online monitoring system.
